Where is my coffee?

We dispatch coffee every other Wednesday (find our next dispatch day in the purple announcement bar at the top of the screen). This so our coffee is as fresh as possible when it lands on your doorstep.

Our cut off for new subscribers is a week prior. For example if we have a dispatch on the 26th February we send out coffee to customers that subscribed between the 5th and the 18th February.

How much coffee is in my BATCH box?

Each Batch box contains 2 bags of speciality coffee

How much coffee is in each bag?

Each bag of coffee contains 200g of coffee. You will receive 2 bags with each box so you can taste and compare between the two.

Is the coffee whole beans or ground?

You can order whole bean coffee or ground coffee. We recommend ordering whole beans as this maintains their freshness however we are aware that people don’t always have the use of a grinder so we are happy to grind it for you. 

How much does a coffee subscription cost?

A rolling coffee subscription costs £17.99 per box and you can select how often you would like to receive each box of coffee. If you would like to prepay for a number of boxes then we do offer discounts. Check out our coffee subscriptions

What if I don’t like the coffee?

We hope that even if you don’t love the coffee you put it down to the fact that the flavour profile isn’t a taste you particularly enjoy.

Coffee is all about preference and can dramatically change between people, some love the light acidic fruity flavoured coffee while others prefer it bold, rich and chocolatey. There isn’t a right answer to what makes a good coffee and that's the beauty of speciality coffee, the flavours can be so diverse and everybody has different preferences. The coffee that you receive has been selected by our team of experts who only choose the best. If you really really don’t like the coffee please let us know at info@batchcoffee.co.uk and we will do our best to sort it out. 

 

Is your coffee organic fair trade?

All of the coffee that we use in our subscription boxes is fair trade (as every product should be). While some of the coffee that we use may not always be “certified” organic, we have seen first-hand many farms are in fact organic but cannot afford to pay for the certification.

How is the coffee packaged?

We are plastic-free. Our bags are compostable and made using organic materials. Our boxes are also compostable. Learn more about our Coffee Packaging.

How shall I store my coffee?

Coffee is always best stored away from sunlight in the coffee bag or a form of airtight coffee storage. Read our article on how you store speciality coffee.

Am I locked into a coffee subscription?

No, all of our rolling coffee subscriptions can be cancelled at any time.

Is postage included in the price?

No, Shipping is calculated at checkout.

Which postal companies do you use for shipping?

We use a number of courier services for our shipping but it is usually either DPD, Hermes or UPS.

Can I buy a single bag of coffee?

We don’t sell just single bags of coffee in our coffee club. This is because we want you to try new, exciting coffees and compare them against each other, this is how professional coffee tasters do it and makes it much easier to put your finger on the way the coffee tastes.

We do however sell single bags of our Batch Espresso Blend.

What is the best grind to choose?

We offer to grind your coffee on five different grind sizes: Espresso (fine), Stovetop/Mokapot (fine-medium), Aeropress (medium), Pourover/Filter (medium-coarse) and Cafetiere (coarse). If you have another brew method please reach out and we’ll be happy to advise.
