Coffee Beans in Manchester (Where to get your fix)

On the lookout for coffee beans in Manchester?

Tranquillo. I’ve got your back.

Having spent many years in Manchester both working in the coffee industry there and frequenting many of their coffee shops and roasters on top of now running a coffee club that uses some of the coffee beans, I’ll point you in the right direction.

I’ll jump straight into our list of places to buy coffee beans in Manchester. However, if you’re on the lookout for some top notch specialty coffee delivered straight to your door then checkout our coffee subscription. You’ll discover some of the best coffee beans in the UK that includes some of these coffee roasters listed below.

1. Blossom Coffee Roasters

Blossom are an awesome coffee roaster in Manchester. I first met Josh when Batch first started sending out coffee boxes and they were one of our first features.

Since then they have gone from strength to strength and are producing some of the best coffee in Manchester. See below some more info on these legends and the always happy Josh (on the right).

Blossom Coffee Roasters Team

With a Q-grade certified team, Blossom certainly knows their stuff in the speciality coffee world and it’s no wonder they have caused a bit of a buzz in the coffee scene.

As the brand is still fairly young they are still working towards a few of their goals, however, Blossom coffee roasters have started as they mean to go on, creating a sustainable and environmentally conscious coffee roastery.

Read the review of Blossom or head to Blossom’s website to buy some coffee beans.

2. Mancoco

Mancoco Coffee Roasters are located under the archways opposite Deansgate locks. They are one of the OG coffee roasters in Manchester and supply the city with their fantastic coffee beans.

Again, Mancoco was one of the first coffee roasters that I featured in our coffee club box. Checkout the link to their review below.

Mancoco showcase a couple of blends and anything up to 12 single origins at once. With an ever-changing menu, it’s a roaster to revisit and try something new.

Checkout the Mancoco Review or visit the Mancoco website to buy some of their specialty coffee.

3. Heart and Graft

Although we have never actually featured Heart and Graft in our sub box I reviewed their coffee when Batch Coffee Club was just an idea.

They have been around for a while just like Mancoco and still produce some of Manchester’s best coffee beans. Here’s a snap of their roastery alongside some more info below.

Heart and Graft is a place to learn about coffee from the green coffee that they roast through to the brewing and filtering of coffee.

Regular cupping sessions alongside an array of online videos to help you achieve the highest quality of coffee at home, they are all about coffee education.

Read what we said about Heart and Graft or Visit the Heart and Graft website.

4. Ancoats Coffee Roasters

Ancoats coffee are yet another mainstay in Manchester. I first visited Ancoats back in 2018 and loved what they were all about. Some of the coffee that these guys source and showcase is top draw. I’d recommend a visit to their coffee roastery cum cafe in Ancoats for a flat white.

Ancoats believe that the obstacles facing not just the speciality coffee industry but the planet as a whole are complex, varied and ultimately time-sensitive.

Therefore they feel that they have an essential role to play in order to both combat and highlight the environmental challenges, both our industry and the planet face.

Visit the Ancoats Review or buy some coffee beans from the Ancoats online store.
