The Origin

The Anahi Peaberry from 39 Steps Coffee Roasters Originates from the Minas Gerais region of Brazil.

A family of coffee producers - father, mother, sons, and in-laws all committed - Danilo Barbosa jointly with his sons, Vítor Marcelo and Sérgio Ricardo are the fourth and fifth generations of the family tradition on coffee production.

It all began with great-grandparent, Elias Barbosa, back then the coffee was produced for our family consumption and everyone worked on the fields, from the elders to the youngsters.

The entire family always had direct contact with the farms.

Basha grows the 74160 variety which he received from the Jimma Agricultural Research Centre.

Ethiopia 39 Steps Coffee

The coffee grows under the shade of native trees in a forest, and this variety is known to have very pronounced citrus and floral notes.

Basha picks and processes all of his coffee himself and within his family. The coffee cherries are placed on raised beds at his family home to dry for approximately one month.
